Recently, Haiyan Technology and China Telecom Group joined hands to empower Lizhong Wheel Group and reached strategic cooperation on the robot automatic feeding unit project. Lizhong Wheel Group, as a leader in the design, development and manufacturing of aluminum alloy wheels and automotive lightweight parts and precision molds, has a wide product coverage and excellent quality, and is a representative of China’s large aluminum alloy automobile wheel manufacturing enterprises. In the field of intelligent manufacturing, they have been pursuing more advanced manufacturing technology and more efficient production methods.
This cooperation project is to use a robot equipped with a 3D vision system to realize the automatic grasp and placement of materials such as wheels, hub partitions and bottom pallets. Through advanced 3D visual recognition technology and industrial robot technology, Haiyan Technology has successfully solved the problems of material grasping, conveying and recycling, ensuring high accuracy and stability. The application of this technology can not only improve production efficiency, but also save a lot of labor costs.
The working principle of the project system is to photograph, scan and identify the hubs and hub partitions on each layer (7-8 layers) coded in advance through the 3D vision system, and store the identified information to the control system. Then, the control system will issue instructions to the robot, and grasp the wheel hub through the composite gripper at the end of the robot, and placed on the power drum conveying line under the robot base. The conveying line is responsible for completing the conveying and transferring work of the wheel hub.
In this process, the robot will repeat the action of grabbing and placing the wheel hub many times, and will also place the wheel hub partition that has been grabbed and left vacant on the bottom tray on the ground. The whole process does not need manual intervention, and the whole process is automated, which greatly improves the production efficiency, reduces the labor cost and the error rate.
This project requires very high technical ability of suppliers, and Haiyan Technology has successfully won the recognition of customers with many years of application experience. Haiyan Technology’s robotic automatic feeding system is not only technologically advanced, but also adaptable, and can easily cope with a variety of new varieties and specifications of materials, such as pellets, cartons and foam boxes.
