The combination of various I/O modules is another special advantage of the AC 800PEC.
AC 800PEC is an open system that provides standard interfaces even for modules with custom designs and functions.
All internal communication between the controller and I/O modules is entirely via fiber optic links.
There is no electrical connection between the controller and any I/O devices.
AC 800PEC Combi IO UA D149 The Combi IO UA D149 is a universal remote I/O device for high speed applications and is part of the AC 800PEC control system.
It is mainly used to detect the actual value in fast closed-loop control and protection circuits.
The Combi IO consists of the base module UA D141, which can be equipped with stackable I/O boards such as:
• Up to 2 x Mixed IO boards UA D142, each providing – 16 fast digital inputs/8 fast digital outputs – 6 fast analog Inputs – 2 fast analog outputs.
• Alternatively: 1 traction module DA D143, providing – 13 analog inputs with various predefined characteristics – 18 digital inputs assigned to specific monitoring tasks.
To accommodate various voltage and current levels, the Combi IO can be combined with low voltage voltage divider boards (up to 1000 Vrms) and CT/VT daughter boards.
AC 800PEC Measurement Interface PECMI UA D140 Measurement Interface PECMI provides a high-speed current and voltage measurement device as a complement to the Combi IO module.
• Provides active expandable inputs for up to 4 current sensors (eg LEMs)
• Provides inputs for voltage divider boards and CT/VT daughter boards.
To accommodate various voltage and current levels, the PECMI can be combined with a voltage divider board:
– Voltages up to 1000 Vrms require a low voltage divider (LVD) – Higher voltages up to 6000 Vrms require a high voltage divider (HVD)

The CPU board contains the microprocessor and RAM memory, a realtime clock, LED indicators, INITpush button, and a CompactFlash interface.
The base plate of the PM866 / PM866A controller has two RJ45 Ethernet ports (CN1, CN2) forconnection to the Control Network,
and two RJ45 serial ports (COM3, COM4). One of the serial ports(COM3) is an RS-232C portwith modemcontrol signals,
whereas the other port(COM4) is isolated and used for the connection of a configuration tool.
The controller supports CPU redundancyfor higher availability(CPU, CEX-Bus,communication interfaces and S800 I/O).
Simple DIN rail attachment / detachment procedures, using theunique slide & lock mechanism.
All base plates are providedwith a unique Ethernet address which provides every CPUwith a hardware identity.
The address can be found on the Ethernet address label attached to the TP830 base plate.
