This standard is subject to revision as new materials and methods of construction are developed.
The latest revision of this standard shall be applicable. Revised sheets shall be
issued from time to time and should be inserted as soon as these are received.
Superseded or obsolete sheets shall be removed immediately upon receipt of revised sheets.
The date of the latest issue of each sheet is printed at the top corner under the standard number.
The grounding rod shall be made of solid steel core bonded uniformly with copper through an electrolytic process.
The copper shall be deposited over a layer of nickel to ensure adherence between the copper layer and the steel core.
The steel core shall not be less than 98% iron and when tested in accordance with ASTM A370 shall have mechanical tensile strength of not less than 650 N/mm².
The copper coating shall be 99.5% pure copper with minimum coating thickness of 0.25 mm per ASTM E376.
The inter-layer of nickel is 99.5% nickel and a minimum thickness of 3.0μm.

The CPU board contains the microprocessor and RAM memory, a realtime clock, LED indicators, INITpush button, and a CompactFlash interface.
The base plate of the PM866 / PM866A controller has two RJ45 Ethernet ports (CN1, CN2) forconnection to the Control Network,
and two RJ45 serial ports (COM3, COM4). One of the serial ports(COM3) is an RS-232C portwith modemcontrol signals,
whereas the other port(COM4) is isolated and used for the connection of a configuration tool.
The controller supports CPU redundancyfor higher availability(CPU, CEX-Bus,communication interfaces and S800 I/O).
Simple DIN rail attachment / detachment procedures, using theunique slide & lock mechanism.
All base plates are providedwith a unique Ethernet address which provides every CPUwith a hardware identity.
The address can be found on the Ethernet address label attached to the TP830 base plate.
